Champagne Henriot Cuvee 38 and Osetra Caviar

Champagne Henriot Cuvee 38 is a blend of Grand Cru Chardonnay from the Cote de Blancs villages, Mesnil sur Oger, Chouilly, Avize and Oger and is a project that began in 1990.

Each year since 1990, 3%-20% of the harvest from the four Gran Cru vineyards can be added to the project.
2016 is only the second release of Cuvee 38 which is a blend of vintages form 1990 through 2008 and was bottled in 2010.

Wine Description

This is Grand Cru Chardonnay from 1990 through 2008 all in one bottle and as fresh as a bottle of Blanc de Blancs made from the current harvest but with more complexity. Additionally there is a finesse with this Cuvee 38 that elevates the elegance of champagne to the next level of elegance.

Lady Elena Caviar Pairing

O My Setra Caviar (Osetra): There is a blending of the nuttiness and minerality of the wine with the nuttiness and savoriness of the Osetra caviar. It finishes with green apple notes in the background and followed by a cleansed palate. This is a great Lady Elena Caviar and champagne pairing.

Champagne Montaudon and Osetra Caviar

Champagne Montaudon Brut NV
The champagne is a blend of 35% Pinot Noir, 25% Pinot Meunier, and 40% Chardonnay. The wine is given a dosage level of 8 g/l and is aged in the bottle for 3 years.

The champagne has a straw gold color with tiny bubbles. There are aromas of stony minerals, almonds, ripe berries with some soft citrus. On the palate there is a balance of fruit sweetness and nuttiness giving a roundness to it. The finish is dry with the sweet fruit notes continuing with some biscuit notes and the minerality. An easy drinking champagne.
