Tarlant Cuvee Louis Champagne NV Paired with 3 Caviars from Lady Elena Caviar

The champagne is a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir from the 65 year plus old Les Crayons vineyard in Oeuilly of the Marne Valley. The wines are from the 1997 and 1996 vintage. The dosage level is 5.7g/l and was disgorged in October 2006.

The champagne has a golden color withe aromas of lemon curd, honey and caramel. On the palate there is a toasty yeastiness with with soft lemony minerals.The champagne finishes dry with citrus notes.

2013 Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc Paired with 4 Caviars from Lady Elena Caviar

This wine is 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand and was fermented in stainless steel.

The wine has a pale straw color with green tints. There are aromas of tropical fruits with soft grassy notes. On the palate there is also some biting acidity. The finish is filled with soft tropical herbal notes. Easy to drink.

O My Setra Caviar (Osetra): the 2013 Dog Point  Sauvignon Blanc fills the mouth with the soft tropical notes and gives a dry finish but the fruit quickly goes away. A good pairing.

Elegance Caviar (Golden Osetra): the caviar balances out the fruit from the wine and leaves a cleansed palate. A great pairing.

Siberian Baer Caviar: the wine brings out the sea brine that otherwise is hidden when enjoyed alone. An acceptable pairing.

Just look at these miniscule streaming bubbles racing to the top so gracefully forming and elegant

necklace. The bright golden color of this champagne is warning us that I am not  as young as I use to be. The champagne released aromas of sweet caramel, mushrooms, citrus and some toasty yeast. In the mouth, it has a medium plus body with yeasty caramel and mushrooms and soft minerality. It finishes with nuttiness and high acidity.
