Tip #1 Get there early to find your great viewing spot along the 2.5 mile parade route with the approximately 3.5 million other people. It travels      south to Columbus Circle, where then it turns east onto Central Park South before turning onto 6th Avenue.  After traveling down 6th Avenue from 59th Street to 34th Street, the parade will turn right and end at Macy'sin Herald Square.

Hassle Free Thanksgiving Wine Picks

As we gather around the table at Thanksgiving, it is the people whom we surround ourselves with that matters the most. The food brings us together and the wine selection worries most people. Drink what you and your guests enjoy. This a time to share your great wine experiences with your friends and family. Red, White, Rose, Sweet or with Bubbles- they are all good wines to enjoy with good company.

So our recommendation is to share what you have enjoyed and/or share a new wine that you have been wanting to try yourself.

The most important choice with the wine is to have enough for all to enjoy.

If this did not help you, then your local wine store has your experts to help you choose hassle free.
We should also be grateful for all of our local small businesses that help remove the stress of food and wine pairing.
Cheers!!!!

Discover Navarra Spain's Best Kept Secret Shared by Apil Cullom and Robin Kelly O'Connor

When you are not running with the bulls on Pamplona Spain for the annual  running of the bulls, (Sanfermines) then you should be drinking their wines of Navarra.

No surprise that Chardonnay is produced here bit it is a surprise on how delicious it is and what a value these Chardonnays are.

2005 Bodegas Castillo de Monjardin El Cerezo This is a non oaked Chardonnay. There is varietal characteristic purity with a little extra acidity in the glass..
This is at a SRP of $13

2015 Bodegas Vega de Castillo Garnacha Cepas Viejas This 100% a Garnacha wine aged for 3
months in American oak. These 46 year old vineyards are located in the Ribera Alta area.

This wine just screams freshness. Starting from its bright ruby color to its fresh cheery aromas. On the palate there is just the right amount of tannins to keep this wbing a wine in search of some food. There is floral cherry in the finish  with a good balance of tannins and acidity.  SRP of $10.

These are just two examples of how food friendly the Wines of Navarra are.

Carm Reserva Branco Wine with White Sturgeon Caviar

2015 Carm Reserva Branco

Here is another good Portuguese wine pairing with caviar.

Carm Reserva Branca with Lady Elena CaviarThe Carm Familiy of Roboredo Madeira  winery is located on the sub appellation of Douro superior in the Douro appellation. The wine is a blend of Rabigato (50%), Viosinho (25%) and Codega (25%). Vinified in stainless steel but half is aged in French oak casks.
The wine has a pale straw color with green tints. The wine is full of fresh citrus with salty minerality and finishes with lively acidity, lime notes and some nuttiness.

Lady Elena Caviar Pairing

Americana (White Sturgeon): With this pairing the fresh citrus clears away the minerality and leaves your palate refreshed with some lingering citrus.
