2014 Wolffer Estate Rose Wine from Long Island New York

Here we have a Long Island (Sagaponack) New York wine.

This rose wine is 46% Merlot, 35% Chardonnay, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6.5% Cabernet Franc, 2.7% Riesling 1.5% Pinot Noir and 0.3% Vignoles

With its salmon color there are aromas of ripe strawbery, ripe cherry with some pleasant herbal notes. On the palate there is biting acidity with its mineral coated fruits. The finish is crisp and refreshing.The wine was most enjoyable with food.

Today we have the 2015 Triennes Rose.

This is summer in Provence in a bottle.

It drinks like a warm summer sunny day with some bubblegum sweetness and a  side of herbs.

This mainly Cinsault blend gives you fresh rose with body to it and is a pleasure by the glass or with your summer fare.

We tasted this last July with The 8th Pearl Caviar (Kaluga Hybrid)

This wine is 100% from the grape variety Verdejo.
The wine has a pale straw color with green tints. There are aromas of grapefruit pith,orange, peach and soft minerals. On the palate it is medium bodied with minerality and grapefruit and citrus. On the finish the fruits pickup a tropical note. The soft minerals follow through with a high acidic pleasant finish.

 As the wine coats your tongue the wine becomes more gentle and softer while cleansing the palate. The wines minerality is perfect with this complex mineral filled caviar.A great Lady Elena Caviar and wine pairing.
